Shilphata Junction, and what is actually being built around it

Daighar Gaon, Shilphata Junction, Thane 421204, and the projects that are changing how you get out of it.

Shilphata is a junction before it is an address, and that is the first thing to get straight. A flat here can be described in half a dozen ways, all of them sounding like different places. The record settles it. The village on the MahaRERA register for Provident Palm Vista is Daighar Gaon. The pincode is 421204. The district is Thane, inside the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. The corridor is administratively Dombivli East, and the postal address the developer prints places the site at Shilphata Junction.

Everything else is a direction of travel rather than an address. Check the pincode and the district on the registration certificate for the tower you are being sold. Those two do not move.

How long things take today

The developer publishes its own table of travel times, and it is the only one attached to this site. Shilphata Junction is five minutes. Thane-Belapur Road is 15 minutes and Ghansoli station is 15. Diva station is 16 minutes and Dombivli station 20. The Eastern Express Highway is 20 minutes. For work, Millennium Business Park is 12 minutes, Reliance Corporate Park 15, Mindspace Airoli 20 and the Kharghar node 25. MGM Hospital is three minutes, Guardians School two.

Those are stated times, not measured ones. Drive them yourself at nine in the morning and again at seven in the evening before you decide what they are worth. Shilphata's congestion is the reason so much is being built here, and the reason none of these times should be treated as fixed.

What is actually open

One big thing near this belt is finished and running: Navi Mumbai International Airport at Ulwe. Domestic flights began on 25 December 2025, and its first international route, Air India Express to Abu Dhabi, started on 15 July 2026. No authority publishes a drive time to it from here, so treat any minutes figure you are shown as a claim.

The Kalyan Ring Road is partly in use: the stretches between Durgadi bridge and the Titwala side are open, the phases towards Shil Road and Motagaon bridge are still in progress, and Rs 600 crore was allocated to it in the MMRDA 2026-27 budget.

What is under construction

The road itself is being rebuilt. The Kalyan-Shilphata road is being widened to six lanes and concretised by the MSRDC, and in August 2026 the MSRDC sanctioned Rs 138.45 crore in compensation to landowners to clear the land needed for the remaining stretches. That sanction is a useful signal: those stretches were still waiting on land in the middle of 2026.

The MMRDA's Airoli to Katai Naka corridor is under construction. The Airoli to Thane-Belapur Road section is complete, the twin-tunnel section towards NH-4 is in its final stages, and the last elevated stretch towards Katai Naka is still being built. This is the project most likely to change how the belt connects to Navi Mumbai, and it is not open yet.

On rail, Mumbai Metro Line 12, the Kalyan to Taloja corridor, is under construction along this belt; MMRDA had erected its 200th viaduct girder near Golavali by February 2026. Its stations at Manpada in Dombivli East and at Nilje Gaon are under construction and neither is open. Mumbai Metro Line 5, Thane to Bhiwandi to Kalyan, is also under construction, with MMRDA targeting the start of services on the first phase, Kapurbawdi to Dhamankar Naka, by December 2026. A target is not an opening date.

The Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train runs through Thane district. NHSRCL has completed excavation of the Ghansoli to Shilphata section of its 21 km BKC to Shilphata tunnel, and the elevated corridor towards Gujarat begins at Shilphata. There is no station there. The nearest one will be the Thane station being built in the Diva and Dativali belt, and no passenger service date has been announced.

What is only proposed

Metro Line 12A, from Kalyan Phata to Taloja, was announced by the state Urban Development Minister in February 2026 and has no construction timeline. MUTP-3B, approved by the Cabinet in September 2025, includes a new 69.23 km suburban corridor between Panvel and Vasai via the Diva belt; it is at the planning stage, and the existing Vasai to Diva to Panvel line runs limited MEMU services meanwhile. Phase 1 of the Virar to Alibaug Multimodal Corridor was approved in May 2026, with land acquisition still in progress.

Announced, approved, sanctioned, under construction and open are five different things. A brochure that prints them as one list of benefits is telling you about intentions. The register, project by project with its status, is on the location page.

The short version

Shilphata in 2026 is a working junction with an airport open nearby, a road being widened, a tunnel corridor nearly through and two metro lines in the ground. None of the rail carries passengers here yet. Buy on what the belt is today, and on the tower you are actually being sold. The next piece, what to check before you book, covers the paperwork side of that.
